Dr. Chaudhry will summarize recent developments related to state medical licensure and regulation across the United States, highlighting recent examples of professional misconduct that led to disciplinary actions by a state medical board, recent developments related to the decision by nine states to streamline the licensure of fully-trained international medical graduates, an update on the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, FSMB guidelines related to physician and physician assistant reentry, recent guidance from the FSMB’s Ethics and Professionalism Committee, and the FSMB’s 2024 census of actively licensed physicians in the United States.
